Busy in Canada
WOW have we been busy. I cannot remember the last post and I am swamped right now so I am going to blog as much as possible.
Thursday: We arrived and the kids began to play in the snow as soon as we got to our host's home.
Friday: It began to snow in the morning and was awesome for the kids they played in a big field behind the house and built a snow fort. I went to a funeral for a friend then off to a men's overnight.
Saturday: The kids went tobogganing and had a blast I was out at the men's thing. We had a great time and we ate Shrwarma (which is like Lebanese Gyro) when I got home. It is awesome. Had a great time of fellowship.
Sunday: Went to Church and taught from Philippians. "you don't go into ministry, ministry comes into you" Then we toured downtown with the kids and ate beaver tail. Actually it is a fried dough like an elephant ear. Our host is a Secretary for a Parliament member so we parked on the hill (think capital hill in the states). had a great time. I went and shared at a bible study for addicts on Sunday night it went very well most of the guys are new to recovery so seeing a guy with 10 years under his belt was an encouragement.
Monday: We went to Quebec which is where they prefer to speak french and many only speak french so it is then like really being in a foreign country. We then went tubing down a snow hill and had a blast. it was an all day event they had a tow line that dragged you up the hill and then you flew down Just awesome. Then on the way back we decided to take a shortcut by using a ferry. Yes across an ice covered river they blow air under water and the boats are designed to break ice. It was really cool.
Overnight it began to snow real snow like big huge flakes and this was to begin a 7 inch snowfall it was beautiful no one else was up
Tuesday: I taught at Jericho road's men's bible study and it was really awesome then the kids and Nicole met up with me and we went to the Rideau canal and went skating in the snow. This is the largest rink in the world and is 13km long. We discovered that while it was fun we are not skaters so we cut it short. The kids went about a half a mile out and then back. The snow was awesome. We then took a bus back to the suburbs where we are staying and the kids thought it was awesome. We walk from the bus stop to the house and threw snowballs all the way home. The kids have been outside now for 3 hours building snowmen and forts We are studying and resting. Nicole has a ladies group to go to tonight and Tomorrow we will be really cold. Our last event will be Wed night at the coffee house which is an American soup kitchen. We will be sharing about the hope all men have through Christ. Pray for these folks.

Well we have arrived in Canada. Flight was good and the minute you stepped off the plane it was obvious we were not in Florida any more. We asked you to pray for many things and those continue. One praise report we prayed for snow so the kids could see it. It started snowing about an hour after breakfast and continues to this hour.
Today I am going to a funeral of a friends mother. Then off to a men's overnight where I will be teaching from The book of Philippians. "Putting of the past going for the goal" Please pray that the men will be encouraged and strengthened. Pastor Andy's heart for this weekend was to build the men of his Church together into a group of leaders .
There will also be a time for Nicole to possibly share at a womens study on Tuesday please pray for that and I will have the opportunity to share at a "coffee house" Which we would call a soup kitchen I have spoken there before and look forward to being there again.
There is a good chance that we will have an opportunity to visit Parliament while in session and since our host works for one of the members of Parliament we will be given a tour. Ottawa is the capital of Canada and it is awesome to see all the cultures represented through the different countries that have their embassies here.
The only trial thus far was when a person grabbed the wrong bag at the airport so Nicole was separated from her bag for about 4 hours. No big deal they just delivered it to the house we are staying at.
If I can I will attmpt to post some pictures on this blog in the next few days.
The snow from the months of accumulation is deep 6 feet.

Setting the Stage
Wow what a weekend. Friday night was one of my favorite day's as a pastor. I had the privilege of presiding over the wedding of a great couple. I even was offered the chance to cater the event. Then on Saturday our Church had a couples dinner and it was a blast. I will never eat "Good n Plenty" without cracking a smile ever again. Sunday morning was a wonderful time in the word through Nehemiah Chapter 9 with great worship. It is amazing how God continues to grow his church. God's message this morning was two fold first it was to remember to pray "Lord please help me help my stupid self" The other was that if we desire a true work of God we must confess not just profess.
Tonight began our month of missions. We set our kids down and told them all that they can expect on their first missions trip. We also loked up the weather forcast for Ottawa. Low of 4 F! I am not sure this Florida native will handle it. But it is the call of God and the Work of the spirit.
Please pray for traveling mercy, physical safety, snow would be a blessing, and the ministry to the people to be fruitful.
Also please pray for the trip to Peru.
visit www.ccpasco.org There you will find more about who we are and you can download a host of bible teachings.
